Coming Home

My husband has been activated into the Army and has been deployed now for almost one year. He was sent to Sweet Home Alabama (Fort Rucker to be exact) to Flight School, to become a BlackHawk Pilot. It's always hard at the beginning, you feel so alone, you become a single Mom just like that. Life gets easier day by day. The house is always clean, you can eat what you want to eat, you can watch what you want to watch on TV, you make-up the daily agenda, etc., etc.. Now, I know that I'm being selfish in saying the thought of him coming home has me in a panic. He has been coming home from time to time to visit us for Holidays and we did spend a couple of weeks with him in the summer time. The Hello's are Fantastic! When he's not around for hugs, kisses and what nots, a piece of chocolate, cupcake or a brownie will do! The thought of a toilet seat being up, towels and clothes on the floor, having to share my house again is scary, LOL. In all seriousness, I'm excited to have my best friend (my stud muffin) home again, if only I could change his "Manish" ways.

we've never had long separations, but Mike is gone for a week each month. i know what you mean! no makeup, no regular meals, chocolate is a MUST, and lots of girl parties....then he wonders why i have a life when he gets home! constant adjustment and readjustment. what's next for him?
