As luck would have it, we went to the tide pools a week later and we had low tides...The kids had a blast climbing on the rocks to look at starfish, crabs, sea anemones, sea urchins, fish, etc, etc..The water was warm so walking through it and being splashed by the waves was no problem. We also collected some cool shells and sea glass.
