My Take on Being a Mom

I have read so many heart warming blogs about being a Mom, here’s my take on it. I love being a Mom, I can’t imagine my life without my kids. Since birth, I have always been in Aw with all of them. I have three beautiful girls and one most beautiful boy. Having had two of my girls from a previous marriage, I wouldn’t change anything about them, except maybe their father, LOL. Being a littler older and hopefully a lot wiser, the youngest two have given me a chance to be a Mom all over again. It certainly is eventful having older kids and younger kids, the drama never ends. The oldest is 19 and has moved out, but still comes home to do laundry and of course a free meal. The 15 year old is in high school and spends most her time in her room, studying I think NOT or in front of a mirror most likely, LOL. The 7 year old is such a delight! She’s in 1st grade and believes in Fairytales and Happily Ever After, If only dreams came true. The little man is 4 years old and he only has eyes and love for his Mom. While his Dad has been away, he certainly acts like he is the man of the house, and even better than that, he likes to shop, he’s a buyer to put it exact! Being a Mom teaches you to stop and look at things in a different way, about your heart being full of love by just a look they give you, about one word melting your heart, maybe even a picture that they draw you or just frankly there laugh or even more simple is a kiss or an I Love You Mom!

Coming Home

My husband has been activated into the Army and has been deployed now for almost one year. He was sent to Sweet Home Alabama (Fort Rucker to be exact) to Flight School, to become a BlackHawk Pilot. It's always hard at the beginning, you feel so alone, you become a single Mom just like that. Life gets easier day by day. The house is always clean, you can eat what you want to eat, you can watch what you want to watch on TV, you make-up the daily agenda, etc., etc.. Now, I know that I'm being selfish in saying the thought of him coming home has me in a panic. He has been coming home from time to time to visit us for Holidays and we did spend a couple of weeks with him in the summer time. The Hello's are Fantastic! When he's not around for hugs, kisses and what nots, a piece of chocolate, cupcake or a brownie will do! The thought of a toilet seat being up, towels and clothes on the floor, having to share my house again is scary, LOL. In all seriousness, I'm excited to have my best friend (my stud muffin) home again, if only I could change his "Manish" ways.
