We rang in the New Year "2010" celebrating with friends, it was a good time. We headed to Utah for a family ski vacation before the kids were back in school (they are off for 3 weeks for winter break). First stop was Vegas, to break up our 12 hour driving trip. We stayed overnight at the Hilton Flamingo Vacation Club Grand Resort, it was the BEST! We had a view out our window of the Belagio fountains, pretty cool. The jacuzzi was so much fun :)

On to Utah to visit family and ski some real snow. We got there late Sunday night and so Monday would be our first day of skiing. However, Jackie forgot her thermals so we stayed behind to go into town and find some (not an easy task, as they were sold out everywhere). Bill and Jack did a half day of skiing so all was good in the world. Tuesday was suppose to be a family ski day but, we over slept, so only Bill was able to go. He figured since we weren't there, he'd try snowboarding for the first time. He got a private lesson and headed out. Per him, he was doing Awesome, (I guess being high fived by 20 year olds helps) he headed to the black diamond with his posse and instructor. He was doing it alright until he got down to the bunny slope area and ate it big time. He was bandaged up by the ski patrol and I had to drive him to the nearest Hospital. Needles to say, he had to have emergency surgery on his right wrist which was broken and received a metal plate and 9 pins. He now has a metal spider in his arm, LOL. He is doing okay, is in pain, he says his arm reminds him everyday about his dreams of granduer. So for now, deployment in February is on hold.

The rest of our trip was great! I tried snowboarding for the first time and I thought I did great, no broken bones, just major bruising on my bum and hands. Jacqueline and I skiied together our last day and this is something I know how to do, but did eat it just once. She has become a good little skier and we had fun doing this together.

Were back home, kids are back in school (Jack got an award), Christmas decorations have been put away, with the exception of our Christmas tree...What to do, what to do, I guess I need to wait for the rain to stop!

-------------------------------------------------------------
When December hits, there is barely anytime to breathe, meaning, we have 2 kids birthdays and Christmas to celebrate--

Decorating started on December 1st and was completed when our Flocked Christmas tree arrived. It was our best one yet, it was worth every penny. Shopping turned out to be fun this year, I had a girlfriend who would call and say I'll honk be ready. We managed to do lunch or dinner while out and about, and even indulged ourselves with a little trinket or two. Christmas Day started out leisurely, even though the preparation for it was tiring. The kids waited until 9 am to run downstairs and see what Santa brought. Santa was very good to us, despite, some of the halo's being a little crooked, LOL. Jacqueline went to work and made frosted sugar cookies, while I made somewhat of a traditional dinner. We made a toast, ate our delicious dinner and had yummy cookies and pie. By the time I laid my head on the pillow, I was dreaming about the after Christmas sales, smile :)

The Time Travlers Wife

I finished the book, I love this part "She followed slowly, taking a long time, as though there were some obstacle in the way; and yet: as though, once it was overcome, she would be beyond all walking, and all flying" I can relate to this, smile.

I saw the movie last night, it was beautiful, weep, weep.

I had surgery a week ago, sadly I won't be having any more babies, but I 've been blessed with 4 beautiful ones :) When I was going into the surgery room, I was overcome with so much emotion, sadness, that I was really moving on with my life and than, I saw my Anesthesiologist. Dr. Anthony, McHotty, he looked like Eric Bana and dare I say I flirted with him and he gave me the best medicine and the sweetest dreams, smile.

It's All About Her!

Off to see the new "Harry Potter" movie--

Hermione look a like--

She says, "sleeping in rollers is really uncomfortable", LOL

Mystic Purple---
Oh, such a lush life to live---
She's loving it---

Jacqueline is a true Harry Potter Fan, she has read all the books (some twice or more) and has seen all the movies. She slept in rollers and dressed up like Hermione to see the latest movie on opening day...She is so cute! Since taking over her sister's room, she has been wanting to paint it and claim it as her own. I finally gave in and we painted and rearranged her room this last past weekend. Ohhh what a job it was, but Fun. End result is that she loves IT, she is really hard to please, so I take that as a COMPLEMENT:) Now Jack would like me to surprise him with his room being done, Oh Brother----

The Good - The Bad and The Ugly

Celebrating "15" years of being a family :)

The Good is, that I have 2 Beautiful children that were made with lots of love and tenderness, The Bad is, they will be children of a failed marriage and The Ugly is, that after 15 years of marriage, Bill and I are Divorcing. My heart is overflowing with lots of emotions, good and sad, I know having gone through this before that it is not a happy time for any of us. Grandma will continue to live with me and the kids. I told her she is welcome to stay for however long she wants. If you would still like to visit with her and us, that would be Great! I have enjoyed being a part of this family, you have been so kind to me and the kids and I appreciate that. I will continue to keep you posted on my blog. Feel free to call us and please visit, it's always nice to have family around.
